Garlic is said to be native to central Asia, where people live the longest and incidence of cancer is the lowest. It is a good friend of the circulatory system.
Garlic belongs to the onion family and is common in our market. Garlic perhaps is the vegetable remedy with  the most scientifically proven properties. It contain a lot of Vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, B1, B2, and C. The minerals include Sulphur, iron, Potassium, Selenium and Allicin.

Garlic is a natural antibiotic that protects the body from various infections. It also strengthens the  immune system and prevents various disease. A component of garlic, know as Allicin, which gives the offensive whiff, has great powers for health.

In Addition to the above, Garlic does the following contributing to good health. It regulates or normalizes cholesterol levels dissolves blood clots. It also normalizes the level of sugar in the blood and therefore recommended fore those suffering from diabetes as a complement to other therapeutics's measures. It is as well a preventive therapy for those whose parents suffered from diabetes. It prevents and also stops heart attacks and as well support optimal cardiovascular health. It regulates blood pressure levels when used constantly. It is therefore recommended for those suffering from high blood pressure. Garlic is also good for controlling; Malaria, Asthma, Obesity, Cough, Poison and Boils.
The best way of using garlic is using the raw one, without boiling it or take its extracts in the form  of capsules or pills. In order to take raw garlic, you can grind one or two cloves, add a little water to it and drink. You may also also chew one or two cloves and drink water on it. Another way is to slice one or two cloves into a prepared food and take.  Garlic can equally be used for stews, gravy or soups.

Note that heat destroys some some of the nutrients found in garlic, thereby, reducing its medicinal values. This is why the raw one is recommended.
Many People, however, dislike the smell (whiff) of garlic, but those who use raw garlic rarely get offended by it odour from other users. In order to reduce the smell of garlic a bit, chew some fresh tomatoes and or wash your mouth with lemon juice and sip a little amount of it after suing raw garlic.

Garlic need not be taken in large quantities at a time. one or two cloves is enough for one person for a day.
The power of garlic is very fantastic. 
Warning: Due to  garlic’s blood thinning action, its use in high doses, especially when  raw or in extracts, is not recommended in cases of hemorrhage or excessive menstruation. Continuous use of garlic during pregnancy is also not recommended.
